Pakistan Railway-Need to Increase Budget Friendly AC Sleepers

New government, after coming into power has changed many things. It is striving towards betterment and development. Pakistan Railway department is also one of those developmental sectors. Its condition was more than worse but now, we see better things such as launch of new budget trains, for the good cause.

It is an appreciable landmark but disturbing in a way that such efforts are not done for the middle class families. We being in middle class families cannot afford air fares so something relevant should be provided in a limited budget. Travelling with families and kids, it is not convenient to stay without AC in such harsh weather. We do have facility of AC sleepers in our new trains but unfortunately they are limited to few trains. We cannot enjoy such facility in every train and if provided their capacity is not that much to accommodate a whole family. Resultantly, sharing is the only option left which is not safe and provides no privacy at all.

Another worst thing about travelling in Air Conditioned trains is that you will never find tickets on time. What if there is an emergency and we have to travel sooner? There is no dealing of such cases due to less compartments and more bookings. Everyone tries to travel in comfort and book for AC sleepers. Advanced booking has to be done almost a month ago if you want to travel in such trains and still it is not sure that it will accommodate your whole family which is quite disturbing.

As majority of us are middle class and travel a lot between Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, government should look into this matter and launch more AC sleeper trains so that every family can travel comfortably and safely with no booking issues.
